The founders story.
Dominique for a long time felt unsure about what she should tell as the origin of Moving Stories...
'Stella' and 'Viereck' as words don’t go well together. Stars can’t be put into boxes. They are meant to shine when the night is dark. Unlike the moon, they don’t depend on others for their light.
I have taken a lot of time to write this story because I was not sure which man I wanted to talk about. Is it the successful 32-year-old “corporate guy” who once used to be married? Is it “a man in the wheelchair”? Or is it “the man who chose to live”?
It made me wonder, what is home? Is it an exact tangible place where one grows up with their family? Is it a country or a town? Is it the people around you? Is it something constant or does it keep changing? Is it just a state of mind?
The most important thing that I learned from this event is that by opening up and by sharing our stories, we discover that we have so much more in common than we might think.
